It's post-merger, but Southern Pacific and Cotton Belt paint still dominates. See over 50 trains in Indiana and Illinois. We'll be on the SPCSL (SP Chicago St. Luois) route and on EJ&E, Belt Railway of Chicago andGTW tracks.Locations include Wilmington, Dwight, Odell, Pontiac, Chenoa, Bloomington, Lincoln, Napierville, Eola, Bedford Park, Chicago, and Griffith. Lots of pre-merger paint, but we also see some merger consists with Union Pacific joining the Siouthern Pacific family of paint schemes.
Midwest Video Productions was most active in the mid-to-late 1990s when mergers were happening and flags were falling at a fast clip. This video was shot using professional equipment of the time, but is not up to the clarity of today's high-definition video. It is however an excellent snapshot of an important time in the nation's railroad history.
